Melis Er started her professional career as an HR Business Partner in 2008 at Schneider Electric. Afterward 6 years in charge of recruitment, training, performance and competency management, and internal communications, she transferred to the automotive sector and continued her career at Delphi Diesel Automotive Systems. As Human Resources Unit Manager, Er was responsible for the recruitment, organizational development, talent management, and overseas employment processes of the Izmir plant. She managed the reorganization of the engineering teams as well as the selection and placement of the 100-person electronic control unit software team.

After Delphi Diesel, she continued her career as a human resources team manager as part of the Maxion Wheels Turkey Human Resources team. Subsequent to spending 11 years of her career as a Human Resources professional in the real sector, she joined the Hugent family as the Izmir Regional Director in November 2018.

Having graduated from Dokuz Eylül University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and from Ege University with an MBA in Human Resources and Management Development, Er has attended coaching, mentoring, and internal instructor trainings. She was also a certified instructor at the companies she has worked for. She researches employee experience trends and is particularly interested in employer brand management and communication and skills management in digital and cultural transformation. Her other interests include social psychology, personal development, yoga, pilates, and Latin dance. She is married and has one child.
